iPSCore facility

The facility will assist scientists with state-of-the-art protocols and techniques for proper handling and manipulation of human pluripotent stem cells. We want to provide a forum to disseminate state-of-the-art iPSC research, build relationships with one-another, renew and establish collaborations and strategies.

Microscopy Facility (ZMB)

The Center for Microscopy and Image Analysis is a technology platform specialized in high end light and electron microscopy, supporting the research community at the University of Zurich. Our mission is to give our scientists the tools and technical expertise they need to generate reliable and reproducible scientific data using state-of-the-art microscopy.

Available equipment on campus includes: àConfocal Inverted - Leica SP8; àConfocal Inverted - Zeiss LSM900; àWidefield - Zeiss Axio Observer; àSlidescanner - Zeiss Axio Scan.Z1; àSlide Imager - Akoya - Vectra Polaris/PhenoImager HT

Cytometry Facility

The Cytometry Facility is a technology platform specialized in cutting-edge flow cytometry. We are supporting our research community in high-speed cell sorting, high parameter flow cytometry (conventional and spectral) as well as imaging and nano flow cytometry. State-of-the-art technologies are implemented on a regular base to provide excellent tools and technical expertise to our vivid and highly active scientific community.

Available equipment on campus includes: àBD FACSAria III 4L;  àLSR II Fortessa; àCytek Aurora 5L - Spectral Analyzer

PET/MR

The Center Clinic for Nuclear Medicine USZ Services offers a PET/MRI scanner, available for research purposes. The device enables time-of-flight positron emission tomography (PET) imaging to be performed with simultaneous magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
